Publication Charges
The „Yearbook of the Institute of the Romanian Revolution of December 1989” is committed to publish all scientific papers without any Article Processing Charges (APCs) and Submission Charges and make them immediately and freely available to the wide public upon publication. Consequently, the journal does not charge the processing and submission fees.
Copyright and Permissions
The journal allows the authors to hold the copyright and to retain publishing rights without restrictions.
Responsibilities of the legality and originality of the manuscripts
Any manuscript submitted to the journal must be original work that has not already been published or is currently under consideration by another journal. In this regard authors are required to complete and submit a Declaration of Originality along with the manuscript.
Papers presented at conferences are acceptable, provided that they have not been published in full in Conference Proceedings.
By submitting to the journal, the authors are taking public responsibilities of the legality and originality of the manuscripts.
Peer Review Process
In terms of quality, the peer review process is essential. The peer-review process has two steps: Internal Peer Review Process and External Peer Review Process.
Internal Peer Review Process: Each submitted article goes to an editor assigned by the Editorial Board. According to the topic of the article, proper to the topic of the journal or for the choice and presentation of dates contained in the articles, the authenticity and originality and the opinions expressed, the assigned editor decides to send the manuscript to a referee or to reject it. If the paper is rejected, the editor will send to author the reason(s) of rejection.
External Peer Review Process: The assigned editors, upon consulting the editorial board, identify potential reviewers, experts in the field of the submitted article. The choice is based on their expertise in the field, rigor and scientific methodology. Potential reviewers are contacted by the Editorial Board about their availability and interest in reviewing. After their agreement, they will receive the paper and are asked to fill the Review Form. The deadline for fill the review form is accepted with the agreement of both parts, but no longer than 30 days. According to the recommendations of reviewers, the article can be accepted, sent back to the author for minor revisions, sent back to the author to be resubmitted or rejected.
MANUSCRIPT FORMAT GUIDELINES
Articles submitted for publication to the journal must be written in accordance with the Norms established by the Romanian Academy Publishing House, as well as with certain editing rules established by the Scientific Council and the Editorial Board.
Article writing requirements: The manuscript of a study will usually be 10-15 pages long and will be written in .DOC or .DOCX format with the Microsoft Word text editor, in Romanian (with diacritical marks) or in English. The file containing the material sent for publication must be named using the author’s name and the title of the article.
Page format: A4 size, portrait orientation, 2.5 cm margins on all sides.
Title: centered, Times New Roman font, size 14, bold, capital letters, in Romanian and English. The title must be informative and not exceed 15 words – it is recommended to enter a title with a maximum length of 70 characters.
Author(s) name: Below the title of the article, the author(s)’s first and last name (Times New Roman, size 12, bold, center aligned), followed by a footnote containing the academic and/or scientific title, institutional affiliation, city, country, and email address.
Abstract and keywords: The abstract will be written in English and Romanian (Times New Roman, size 12, single line spacing, left-right alignment), providing a short (150-250 words) and comprehensive summary of the problem investigated, the methods used, the results and their implications. Footnotes and citations are not allowed in the abstract. At the end of the abstract, 3-5 keywords representative of the subject and field of the scientific article are specified.
Structure: Articles submitted for publication must follow the established scientific structure – an introduction containing the state of knowledge relative to the subject, the novelty and importance of the research undertaken; sections containing the analysis of the subject addressed; a section dedicated to the conclusions of the research. The main text of the article will be written in Times New Roman, size 12, 1.5 line spacing. Pages are numbered in the footer, center aligned.

The editorial board reserves the right to reject materials lacking scientific value, and may request authors to revise the texts to meet the professional requirements specific to the journal.
